Model A Crankshaft Oil Slinger (1928-34) A-6310
The Model A Crankshaft Oil Slinger (A-6310) is a direct replacement oil slinger for 1928-1934 Ford Model A engines. Mounted on the front of the crankshaft against the crankshaft timing gear, it is retained in position by the crankshaft pulley and plays an important role in the engine's original oil control system.
As the engine rotates, the oil slinger uses centrifugal force to deflect excess engine oil away from the front timing cover area. This helps minimise the amount of oil reaching the front of the engine and assists the timing cover and front sealing arrangement in controlling oil leaks.
During an engine rebuild or front timing assembly service, the oil slinger should be inspected for damage, distortion or excessive wear. Replacing a bent or missing slinger helps restore the factory oil management system and contributes to cleaner engine operation.
Manufactured in the USA to original specifications, this replacement crankshaft oil slinger is suitable for authentic restorations, routine maintenance and complete engine rebuilds.
