Keep your Ford Model A breathing clean air with this High Volume Air Filter Element (A-9600-HV).
This replacement filter is designed for the earlier Snyder's A-9600-ACC High Volume Air Filter Assembly and provides significantly greater airflow than the original-style filter. Although the original assembly is no longer manufactured, this replacement filter allows existing systems to continue operating efficiently.
The filter measures approximately 5¾ inches high by 4⅜ inches in diameter. The rubber end caps locate inside the air cleaner housing rather than around the outside diameter. Owners with the earlier, smaller Air Maze filter can upgrade by using the A-9600-ADP adapter kit, allowing this larger filter to be fitted.
Manufactured to provide excellent filtration while maintaining high airflow, this replacement element is ideal for regularly driven Model A vehicles.

Proper installation is essential for both performance and safety.
Ensure there is at least ½ inch (12 mm) clearance between the air filter assembly and the exhaust system.
The aluminium mounting section must slide fully onto the carburettor during installation.
If the mounting slots contact the carburettor choke shaft bosses before seating fully, carefully enlarge the rounded slots with a round file until the assembly fits correctly.
Tighten the mounting bolt only enough to secure the filter. Do not overtighten, as this may damage the carburettor.
Check clearance after tightening, as the filter position may change slightly.
Verify the exhaust system is correctly mounted using the original-style frame clamp to maintain adequate clearance.
Avoid prolonged driving with the spark lever fully retarded, as excessive exhaust manifold temperatures can radiate heat toward the air filter assembly. Properly installed, the filter has been road-tested and provides excellent airflow and filtration.
